Stay with us at By The River B&B, a distinguished, historic home on the banks of the storied and beautiful Saint John River, near the heart of the vibrant capital city of Fredericton. We are close to all the best that Fredericton has to offer, from the Boyce farmer’s market to historic Officer’s Square, the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, and the home of New Brunswick’s Lieutenant Governor. We are also conveniently located near the South Riverfront Trail, part of 87km of walking and biking trails throughout Fredericton, including the historic rail bridge over the river now known as the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge.

HISTORY

Our fully renovated B&B combines classic historical features with modern convenience. The house dates back to 1903, and we have lovingly updated the home to accommodate 8 guest suites whilst retaining many original features. Read more about our fascinating history here.

ROOMS

There are 8 rooms each with a unique look and feel, that vary from the deluxe turret suites, to sitting room suites to traditional and basic rooms. All have lovely bathrooms and all the modern amenities, most rooms have King Size beds, and all are air- conditionedPrices range from $130 to $190Each room is named for something significant in Fredericton …. a river boat that would have steamed past, a renowned children’s author, and the First Nations original name for the Saint John River. Discover our beautiful rooms here.

BREAKFAST

Our breakfast features locally roasted coffee, eggs and other products from local farms; maple candy and popular Fredericton and family favourite breakfasts are served. Examples include smoked salmon eggs benedict, Chinese dumplings, fiddlehead frittata and fresh baked goods, featuring in-season items such as rhubarb and blueberries.  Read more about our great breakfast here.
